Residual Current Circuit Breaker, is a safety device that protects against electric shock by detecting current leakage to the ground and disconnecting the circuit when it finds a difference between the live and neutral currents. Different types exist, such as Type AC for general use and Type A for pulsating DC currents, and they are often used with a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) for overload protection.
